Where Can I Serve?
Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of Pacific Rim Church is our mission to the world. It begins in our own community, and spreads outward to every nation. Pacific Rim attenders are involved in a variety of ministries from things as simple as collecting food and clothes, to preparing the church bulletins.
Mission Outreach
Pacific Rim is thrilled to be part of the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We are active in sending missionaries and supporting these missionaries with God’s money and with our prayers. The missionary family from Pacific Rim Church is located in Morocco. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they move to a foreign country or live and minister in our own community.
Music
God-honoring worship is something we strive for. Many church attenders get involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Some are vocalists. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of Pacific Rim Church, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
Ushers
The usher at Pacific Rim Church fill an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, guiding traffic, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed incident-free. The usher team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church community life.
Media & Technology
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege of Pacific Rim Church. In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website in audio formats. We also maintain an active Facebook and Twitter feed for additional church communication.
Marriage Counseling
Marriages can be difficult to maintain. Misunderstanding, confusion, resentment, and anger can flare up in any marriage. Several couples at Pacific Rim Church serve other families as marriage counselors. Their role in listening, understanding, helping, and encouraging struggling couples. By God’s grace, and obedience to His word He has saved marriages, and repaired relationships. Couples have found fresh hope and new joy in a warm and fulfilling relationship with their spouse through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Prayer Warriors
Prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. Pacific Rim Church is a body of believers dependent upon prayer, and committed to God’s sovereignty. Each Sunday, before the morning service, a team of volunteers is praying for the ministry of the Word. Throughout the week, volunteers to our Prayer Warriors team, pray for their pastor, a list of church members, any special requests, and missionary prayer needs. Each Wednesday night, the church comes together for a special time of prayer and all are welcome.
Children’s Church
In order to give our children the best Bible teaching possible, Pacific Rim holds a children’s church service in conjunction with the main service. This special time gives kids more opportunity for interaction and learning in a context and manner that may be better suited to their age and learning styles. Our friendly children’s director and volunteers have an endless stream of creativity–ranging from puppet shows, to games, to object lessons.
PRC Camp-out
Each summer, Pacific Rim Church goes on a camp-out. The three day weekend long event involves games, a lot of fun, great food, good worship, movie nights and a open outdoor Sunday service to round out the weekend away, promoting fellowship all for the glory of God.
